Willie Lizardo began his professional hairstylist career in Palo Alto and Los Altos, California. These early years were spent studying under the top stylist from some of the top salons. But, Willie’s passion towards the artistic side of styling didn’t stop there. Willie spent time in London, England learning advanced haircutting and styling techniques to better his level of skill. Soon thereafter, Willie decided that where he wanted to be was in San Francisco after attending a seminar at the international renown salon Vidal Sassoon.
Later, Willie entered the apprentice program at Vidal Sassoon San Francisco and after completing his apprenticeship, qualified him to a stylist position that also led to being an instructor. One of many highlights of Willie’s career was when San Francisco’s renowned Architects & Heroes recruited him for a management position to head the apprentice program. Willie stays current with the latest trends by attending seminars and classes related to the hair and beauty industry.
Other highlights of Willie’s professional career, being selected to star as the hairstylist for E television network show “FASHION EMERGENCY.” And a regular stylist to NBC affiliate station KRON show “FIRST CUT” and the shows New Years Eve Special styling “Downtown Julie Brown” and Chris Isaac.
Aside from his professional life, Willie has a great love for indoor and outdoor climbing. Running, hiking and biking are also a big part of his outside curricular.
